My New Series
In this new series, the figures' bodies are worn by time, wind, and fire.
Their forms are broken and incomplete, yet they still stand firmly.
Their expressions show focus, confidence, and inner strength.
The cracks and wounds represent the marks of life.
They may come with pain, but they also hold value.
That is why I polished the torn edges of the sculptures to let the broken parts shine, and to show how trials can turn into light.
These sculptures are not only torn on the outside.
They are also hollow inside, and I polished the inner surfaces as well.
This comes from my own life experience.
I have learned that when my heart is filled with fear, anxiety, desire, selfishness, or pride.
I cannot move forward.
These thoughts hold me back and stop my growth.
Only when I empty myself can a higher spiritual power fill me.
This power brings light, renewal, and real change.
When my inner life changes, my whole world changes too.
Every event in my life becomes no longer a problem, but a blessing that helps me grow.
Some figures hold weapons,
but the weapons are not for fighting the outside world.
They symbolize the battles inside the soul the struggle with weakness, doubt, and fear, and the need to protect our faith, confidence, and courage.
The torn forms of the sculptures, together with the polished edges and polished interiors, symbolize this truth: my body may grow weaker day by day, but my inner being can be renewed day by day.
This is the heart of this series.
This series is my way of sharing my own journey with you my new insights, my spiritual growth, and the new attitude I have learned to carry into the world.
